This blog is dedicated to our coast to coast USA trip 2011. This was a day-by-day blog of our events and experiences that was uploaded daily (depending upon whether we had internet access).
The journey was to start in New York and then head basically west, travelling by rail most of the way, and stopping off at various palaces along the way. The trip was to take in Washington DC, Chicago, Colorado, the Rockies, Flagstaff, the Grand Canyon, L.A. and ending up in San Francisco.
The journey was also a special holiday for us as we had our 25th wedding anniversary whilst we were away. Back home in Ireland we were leaving our daughter, Laura and her partner Keith to look after things whilst our son was living the high life in London!
